Variable Program

Variable Annuity Program

The Variable Annuity Program is an equity portfolio consisting mainly of investments in stocks. The Program’s financial objective is to capture the return of the broad equity market, while attempting to control its short-term volatility.

The Variable funds are invested in four component sectors: Passive Core, Tactical Asset Allocation, Active Domestic Equity, and International Equity.

The Board of Education’s Retirement Board oversees the investment of Variable funds and hires outside managers to invest and administer those funds.
